Roundtable discussion

În February 18th, 2015 the 2nd joint seminar (roundtable discussion) on security issues in the Asia-Pacific was held in Tokyo by Japan Institute of International Affairs (JIIA) jointly with IMEMO.

A team of researchers from IMEMO Center for Asia-Pacific Studies representing the Russian side presented reports on various aspects of international security in the Asia-Pacific.

Japanese participants included well-known experts studying regional security issues at JIIA and some leading Japanese universities.

The discussion at the conference centered on ways to promote confidence between key regional powers region and coordinate their activities as challenges security persist in the region leading to high tensions there.

On December 9, 2025, the State Academic University for the Humanities held an International Roundtable “Socio-Humanitarian Knowledge in Scientific and Educational Transfers of Countries of Eurasian Space". In the framework of the Roundtable section "Socio-Humanitarian Education and National-Cultural Values of Countries of Eurasian Space" Alexey Zenkov presented a report "Prospects and Limitations of Scientific and Educational Integration in the EAEU".
