Roundtable discussion

n February 18th, 2015 the 2nd joint seminar (roundtable discussion) on security issues in the Asia-Pacific was held in Tokyo by Japan Institute of International Affairs (JIIA) jointly with IMEMO.

A team of researchers from IMEMO Center for Asia-Pacific Studies representing the Russian side presented reports on various aspects of international security in the Asia-Pacific.

Japanese participants included well-known experts studying regional security issues at JIIA and some leading Japanese universities.

The discussion at the conference centered on ways to promote confidence between key regional powers region and coordinate their activities as challenges security persist in the region leading to high tensions there.

The new "REB Statistics" electronic resource has added monthly data: actual indicators for November 2022, expected indicators for February 2023. "REB Statistics" are interactive graphs that can be plotted based on data from the “Russian Economic Barometer”.
