2302A round-table on the theme: «Russia's interests and strategy in the context of the foreseeable future of the Asia-Pacific region» was held in IMEMO on May 17, 2017. Deputy Director of IMEMO, Academician of RAN Vasily V. Mikheev was a moderator of the meeting. Scientific researchers of the Center for Asia-Pacific Studies of IMEMO and the Institute of Far Eastern Studies (IFES) participated in the discussion.
The participants of the round-table discussed the future development of the Asia-Pacific region, Russia’s place, role and potential in Asia for the medium and long-term prospects.
