
On December 14, 2022 a Russian-South Korean Bilateral Roundtable "Prospects for Cooperation in Northeast Asia" was held at IMEMO. The participants discussed issues related to security on the Korean Peninsula, Russia-China relations, as well as the prospects for cooperation between Russia and South Korea in the new conditions.
From the Russian side, reports and comments were made by: Ambassador-at-Large Oleg Davydov, Senior Researcher of the Group of the Asia-Pacific Region Problems of the Center for Asia Pacific Studies; Alexander Fedorovsky, Dr. of Science (Economics), Head of the Group of the Asia-Pacific Region Problems; Ivan Vakhrushin, Cand. of Science (Economics), Senior Researcher of the Sector of Economy and Politics of China; Nikolay Nikolaev, Cand. of Science (Economics), Junior Research Fellow of the Sector of Economy and Politics of China.
From the South Korean side, reports and comments were made by: Director of the Korea Eurasian Policy Institute (KEPI) Jae Nam Ko; Director of the Asia-Pacific Research Center Hanyang University Gu Ho Eom; Deputy Director of KEPI Dong Joo Suh; Professor of Yonsei University Sangtu Ko; Head of the Russian Language Department of Hankuk University Sung Hoon Jeh.
The moderator of the Roundtable was Sergey Lukonin, Cand. of Science (Economics), Head of the Sector of Economy and Politics of China.
