The review on the monograph “International Security, Strategic Stability and Information Technologies” by Romashkina N.P., Markov A.S. and Stefanovich D.V. was published on the RIAC website.
“The high relevance of the issues of international information security, as well as the selection and the deep analysis of the threats of the digital era, which make a direct impact on strategic stability stirs up the interest towards the monograph, which is being reviewed. There’re lots and lots of such problems. Today the number and the scale of cyberattacks on the critical infrastructure is growing exponentially. The information and communication technologies (ICT) are being used for military-political, terrorist and other criminal purposes, and now we are witnessing how the cyberspace is turning into a "fifth theater" of the military action along with land, sea, air and outer space. The authors have quite rightly emphasized that the problem of ensuring information security is of the strategic nature, and that the level of ICT security has a significant impact on the level of strategic stability.”
