The Fifth Russian Economic Congress (REC-2023) will be held in Yekaterinburg on September 11–15, 2023 in a mixed format.

The head of the thematic conference "Science and Innovation" is a member of IMEMO Directorate, Academician Natalya Ivanova.

Problematics of REC-2023 is presented by the following thematic conferences:

• Methodology, History of Economic Thought and Economic History;
• Microeconomics and Game Theory;
• Macroeconomics and Economic Growth;
• Applied Econometrics;
• Institutions and Institutional Theories;
• State and Corporate Governance;
• International Economics;
• Spatial and Regional Economics;
• Science and Innovation;
• Labor Economics and the Problems of Migration;
• Social Policy;
• Demography and Pension Systems;
• Creative Industries;
• Economics of the Firm, Industry Markets and Industrial Policy;
• Banks, Money and Financial Markets;
• Digital Economy and Networks;
• Interdisciplinary Studies in Economics;
• Economics of Nature Management and Sustainable Development;
• Conference of Young Scientists (Graduate and Undergraduate students).

Applications for participation in the Congress are accepted until May 25, 2023 on a wide range of socio-economic issues, including those beyond the above list of thematic conferences. Applications are accepted for participation with and without a report.

Non-degree students, postgraduate students, and young researchers (under 36 years of age) may apply to present a paper at the Conference of Young Scholars.

To make a presentation at the Conference of Young Scientists, applications are accepted from graduate and undergraduate students and young researchers without a degree (age – up to 36 years).

Authors of reports must submit abstracts that briefly describe the issues under study and their proposed solutions, the results obtained and their novelty. The abstract should be between 4,000 and 8,000 printed characters, including spaces. In addition to the abstract, a file with the full report/presentation can be attached to the application.

Abstracts of reports are evaluated by reviewers. A decision on the inclusion of submitted papers in the Congress program will be announced by June 15, 2023.
