April 20, 2017. Presentation of the book "Preventing the Crisis of Nuclear Arms Control and Catastrophic Terrorism" contributed by IMEMO leading research fellows.
The event presented a Russian edition of the book "Preventing the Crisis of Nuclear Arms Control and Catastrophic Terrorism" produced jointly by the International Luxembourg Forum on Preventing Nuclear Catastrophe (Russia) and the Nuclear Threat Initiative Inc. (USA) with participation of the leading experts of the IMEMO Center for International Security.
One of the book authors, Academician Alexey Arbatov opened the event, followed by Center’s senior researcher, as well as one of the project’s leaders and contributors to the book, Professor Vladimir Dvorkin who briefed the audience on the history and stages of the project. A project coordinator and book contributor, Center’s division head Sergey Oznobishchev delivered an introductory statement.
The presentation drew significant interest among the expert community and the media and gathered about fifty attendees.
