On 2018, December 7, Dr Ekaterina Stepanova, head of IMEMO's Peace and Conflict Studies group, has made a presentation on "Russia’s Policy on the Middle East Conflicts: Regionalization and what it Means for the West" at a seminar on "Russian Policy in Syria and the Middle East: Determination, Delight, and Disappointment", organized by of Elliott School of International Studies, George Washington University.
