On June 6, 2026, an Energy Panel was held within the framework of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF’2026). Igor Sechin, Chief Executive Officer, Chairman of the Management Board of “’Rosneft’ Oil Company”, delivered the keynote speech "Beginning of the End or the End of the Beginning: What Remains at the Bottom of Pandora's Box". The panel was moderated by Academician Alexander Dynkin, President of IMEMO, and Rick Sanchez, American journalist, RT channel host.

The event was attended by high-ranking representatives from various countries, including Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources of Egypt Karim Badawi, Vice President for Planning of Venezuela Ricardo Menendez, and Minister of Energy of Uzbekistan Jurabek Mirzamakhmudov. Among the participants were former head of the International Energy Agency Nobuo Tanaka and president of the “TOFS” Group of Companies David Gadzhimirzaev, as well as experts and analysts from various industries.
