The XIX General Assembly of the Organization of Asia-Pacific News Agencies (OANA) "News Agencies and the Challenges of the Modern World" is being held in St. Petersburg.
On June 19, 2025, Academician Alexander Dynkin, President of IMEMO, spoke at the first plenary session. His presentation focused on the collapse of the unipolar world and the formation of a multipolar order, in which the West is losing its leadership, and new centers of power, such as China and BRICS, are gaining influence.
