We present to your attention the first issue of the IMEMO electronic resource "Monitor of Foreign Expertise: World Politics" for 2026. The Monitor covers materials from leading analytical centers, published between December 2025 and March 2026.

Analysts and researchers remain focused on attempts to conceptualize a new US foreign policy and defense strategy. Closely related to this are European discussions about strategic autonomy and the prospects of the transatlantic alliance. Separate sections and materials are devoted to assessments of the situation in the post-Soviet space, the Chinese view on global trends, and developments in the Middle East.
