There was published the 3rd issue of the journal “Russia and the New States of Eurasia” for the year 2020. It opens with an article about the political crisis in Belarus. As usual, the authors focus their attention on Ukraine.

As usual, the authors focus their attention on Ukraine: the researchers consider the interim outcomes of the presidency of V. Zelensky, the state of the industry of Donetsk and Lugansk regions and also the trade and the economic relations between Russia and Ukraine.

Considerable attention is paid to geopolitical issues. The scientists analyze the policy of Washington towards Central Asia and Ukraine.

Another target issue is the impact of the coronavirus pandemic on the socio-economic situation of the post-Soviet states. The measures on support of the economies of the CIS countries during the pandemic are examined in the journal.

The article on the investment activity of the world's leading countries in Kazakhstan will certainly be of interest to the economists.

The phenomenon of the cyber-Islamic space and its impact on the Muslim population of the newly independent states are analyzed in an article on the Islamic Internet in the post-Soviet space.

The conflict, which occurred on the border between Armenia and Azerbaijan in July 2020, is also highlighted in the issue.
