The presentation focused on an analysis of contemporary forms of interaction between countries of Southeast Asia and the Sahel region within the logic of “South–South” relations. The paper examined the political, diplomatic, military, economic, and humanitarian aspects of cooperation, as well as the Islamic dimension of partnership through the OIC and the Islamic Development Bank. It was noted that, despite the fragmentation of contacts, there is growing interest in joint projects in the areas of “green” finance, food security, halal infrastructure, and technical education. Particular attention was paid to the prospects for developing a practical roadmap for cooperation between the two subregions of the Global South.
