
Cand. of Science (Politics) Natalya Romashkina participated in the VII Moscow Conference on International Security MCIS-2018. The main theme of the event was the question of the prospects for the development of the situation in the Middle East after the defeat of the terrorist organization ISIS in Syria.
More than 850 guests were invited to the Conference, including 34 Defense ministers, delegations of military departments, representatives of the expert community and academic circles from 95 countries. The leaders and representatives of international organizations – UN, OSCE, CSTO, SCO, CIS, League of Arab States and ICRC made reports at the meeting.
The prospects for the development of the situation in the Middle East after the defeat of terrorist organization ISIS in Syria became the main theme of this one of the most authoritative international large-scale security forums. Particular attention was paid to the restoration and establishment of peaceful life in the Arab Republic after the end of the conflict.
Special plenary sessions were devoted to the security problems in Europe, Asia, Africa and Latin America with an emphasis on the interaction of military departments in ensuring security in the regions. The separate discussion platform was provided to discuss the phenomenon of "soft power" as a tool for solving military and political problems.
