The IV International Scientific-Practical Conference “The transformation of the international relations in the XXI century: the challenges and the prospects” was held at The Diplomatic Academy of the Russian Foreign Ministry on April 27, 2018. Over 150 representatives of ministries, government establishments, expert and academic communities from 16 states participated in the event.

Head of the Group of information security problems of the Center for International Security of the IMEMO Cand. of Science (Politics) Natalia Romashkina in her report “The increase of the threats in the sphere of international information security: is it an inescapable situation or a guideline for action?” mentioned that the incremental development of the informational and communicational technologies (ICT) in the XXI century had led not only to the unique opportunities, but also to the uprising of the set of global pressing international security issues.  They determined the new round of confrontation among the global powers in the information space.
