Monthly Workshop of the Society of Financial Analysts and Forecasters.

The Society of Financial Analysts and Forecasters was founded on June 5, 1996, by representatives of the IMEMO, the Central Bank of Russia and the group of Russian financial institutions. President of the Society is Dr. Yu. Sidelnikov, professor, leading researcher, IMEMO.

The Society conducts monthly workshops on the Analysis and Forecasting of Financial Markets in IMEMO. Reports devoted to the analysis and forcasting of the world and Russian financial markets, stability of Russia’s banking sector and derivatives market are presented and discussed at the workshops.

Supervisors: K. Korishchenko, Deputy Chairman of the Central Bank of the Russia Federation; I. Korolyov, Deputy Director of the IMEMO, Corresponding Member of Russian Academy of Science; S. Smirnov, Professor, Head of Risk Management and Insurance Department, the Higher School of Economics.

In January of 2026 the first issue of the MEMO Journal comes out. It opens with an article on the theory and prospects of the global dominance of the U.S. dollar.
