10There was held the inter-institutional seminar in honor of E.Y. Batalov on the topic “The United States after D. Trump: the socio-political legacy of an unformatted president”.
The seminar participants discussed what kind of America Trump left behind him. There were analyzed the ñrisis processes in the both parties, the protest potential in the society, the future of the Trump's electorate, and the way how the role and the place of the United States in the international arena has changed, while its driving force was the slogan “America First”.
Head of the Center for North America Studies of the IMEMO, Cand. of Science (Politics) Viktoriya Zhuravleva, Senior Researcher for the Center for North America Studies of the IMEMO, Cand. of Science (Politics) Sergey Kislitsyn, Senior Researcher for the Center for North America Studies of the IMEMO, Cand. of Science (Economics) Oksana Bogaevskaya and Junior Researcher Anastasia Bunina made reports at the meeting.
