International Roundtable "Eurasian Integration and Prospects for Economic Development of the Republic of Armenia"

On November 14-15, 2025, an International Roundtable "Eurasian Integration and Prospects for Economic Development of the Republic of Armenia" was held in Yerevan.

On November 14, Alexander Krylov, Chief Research Fellow of the Sector for the Caucasus of the Center for post-Soviet Studies of IMEMO, Dr. of Science (History), delivered online a presentation "Armenia and the EAEU in the International Context".

The report analyzed the role and impact of the process of formation of a polycentric world order on the post-Soviet space, showed the impact on the South Caucasus region of integration and disintegration trends at the global and regional levels, as well as US policy in the region (“Trump Route”, trilateral Washington summit etc.). The report also presented the main potential development scenarios for Armenia and the entire South Caucasus in the short and medium term.

Leading experts from research and analytical centers, representatives of the business community and public organizations, as well as representatives of the diplomatic community from the countries of Eurasian Economic Union and other countries participated in the Roundtable.

Participants discussed key issues concerning:

  • – functioning of the EAEU under sanctions pressure;
  • – prospects of further development of Eurasian integration;
  • – advantages of Armenia's membership in the EAEU;
  • – opportunities for interaction with the European Union and third countries;
  • – humanitarian aspects of integration processes.

The goal of the Roundtable is to facilitate expert dialogue and the exchange of practical solutions in the field of economic and integration cooperation.

The event was organized by the Regional Association of Scientific and Educational Centers with the assistance of the Gorchakov Public Diplomacy Fund.
