On May 15, 2024, the International Scientific and Practical Conference “Modern Media Space: Development Trends and Study Practices” was held at the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus.
The employees of the Center for post-Soviet Studies of IMEMO took part in the event:
- • Eduard Solovyev, Head of the Center, Cand. of Science (Politics), delivered a plenary report “Concepts of ‘Relative Deprivation’ in the Context of ‘Color Revolutions’ of the XXI Century”;
- • Alexander Gronsky, Lead Researcher of the Sector for Belarus, Moldova and Ukraine, Cand. of Science (History), made a report “External Interference in Elections as a Threat to Electoral Sovereignty” at the Section 3. National Security and Electoral Sovereignty in the Context of Information Challenges and Geopolitical Threats.
The conference was attended by scientists from Belarus, Russia, Kazakhstan, representatives of the journalistic community, public administration practitioners, members of the parliamentary corps.
The conference included a plenary session, breakout sessions, and a roundtable.
