International Scientific Conference “Eurasian Space – Security Challenges and Development Imperatives”

On December 8, 2022 in the Primakov National Research Institute of World Economy and International Relations on the margins of the “Primakov Readings” the International Scientific Conference "Eurasian Space – Security Challenges and Development Imperatives" was held. The conference was attended by 40 specialists from Russia and Eurasian countries.

Director of IMEMO, Corresponding Member of Russian Academy of Sciences Feodor Voitolovsky addressed to the participants of the conference with a welcoming speech.

Within the framework of the conference Russian and foreign researchers analyzed a wide range of issues related to the settlement of interstate conflicts; main challenges to security; development tendencies of transport and logistics infrastructure; issues of increasing growth rates and ensuring dynamics of development of post-Soviet Eurasia; activity of extra-regional actors in the post-Soviet space; integration projects in the context of development agenda. The conference focused on the assessment of the current state and forecasts of development of the situation in particular countries and regions of the post-Soviet space (in its European part, in Transcaucasia and in Central Asia).
