
On January 30, 2025, IMEMO employees made presentations at the International Conference “Water Resources in Climate Policy of the Multipolar World” organized by the Russian Academy of Sciences.
Stanislav Zhukov, Deputy Director for Scientific Work of IMEMO, Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, presented a report “Water as a Factor of Economic Growth in Post-Soviet Economies” at Session 3 “Water Resources Policy in a Changing Climate: Concept, Technologies and Finance (Domestic and International Aspects)”.
Stanislav Pritchin, Head of the Sector for Central Asia, Cand. of Science (History), presented a report “Approaches to Optimizing Sectoral Use of Water Resources in Central Asia” at Session 2 “Climate Agenda of the Eurasian Space: Problems and Solutions”.
The conference considered various approaches to solving climate problems that can bring tangible benefits to people. Special attention was paid to water resources management as one of the key instruments of climate policy.
