International Young Scholars Conference «Ideologies at crossroads: old concepts and new paradigms»

On April 18-19, 2024, the Primakov National Research Institute of World Economy and International Relations, Russian Academy of Sciences (IMEMO), Moscow, will host the international young scholars conference «Ideologies at crossroads: old concepts and new paradigms».

Eligibility: Candidates and Doctors of Sciences (PhD or equivalent), as well as graduate and postgraduate students under the age of 39 years are invited to participate in the Conference.

The following topics will be discussed at the conference:

  • - theoretical and methodological foundations of the study of ideologies;
  • - the role of ideology in modern conflicts;
  • - ideologisation of international economic relations and technological development;
  • - tools for forming an ideologised discourse;
  • - ideological restructuring in the international-political and domestic political landscape of countries and regions;
  • - intellectual hegemony of Western ideas and ideologies;
  • - formation of ideologies by non-Western countries;
  • - ideologies of sub-regions and non-state actors;
  • - manifestation of ideologisation of international relations in the work of global governance institutions and international regimes;
