27On April 14, 2023 a Multidisciplinary Seminar "Moldova in the New World: Between Russia and the West" was held at St. Petersburg State University (SPbU).
Elena Kuzmina, Head of the Sector for Belarus, Moldova and Ukraine of the Center for post-Soviet Studies, Cand. of Science (Politics), made a report "Foreign Economic Strategy of Moldova in the Framework of Confrontation between Russia and the West" during the event in the online format.
The experts highlighted the current situation in Moldova, as well as discussed foreign economic strategies and foreign policy priorities of modern Moldova, Transnistria as a key geopolitical problem of the country and features of its socio-economic development with students and professors of the Institute of Earth Sciences and FMO of SPbU, Department of International Relations of North-West Institute of Management of RANEPA and representatives of the International Institute for Monitoring Democracy Development, Parliamentarianism and Suffrage Protection of the Interparliamentary Assembly of Member Nations of the Commonwealth of Independent States (IPA CIS IIMDD).
The seminar was organized by the Department of Regional Policy and Political Geography of St. Petersburg University.
