On November 13, 2024 an interdisciplinary round table of the Faculty of Political Science of GAUGN “Genesis of the State: Interdisciplinary View” was held.

Alexandra Khatkevich, Junior Research Fellow of the Center for Development and Modernization Problems of IMEMO, delivered a report “The Creation of Nation-States and the Emergence of Scientific Diplomacy Practices”.

The participants of the event discussed the key stages in the development of state institutions, the causes and consequences of changes in the forms of government, as well as modern trends in the political organization of societies. Historical, sociological, political science and economic aspects of the evolution of the state were considered within the framework of an interdisciplinary approach.

Target audience: undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate students, young scientists from educational institutions of Russia and CIS countries. Purpose of the roundtable: interdisciplinary analysis of the process of state evolution from ancient times to the present day.
