Head of Sector of the Asia-Pacific Region Problems A. Fedorovskiy met with representatives of the Ministry of Unification of the Republic of Korea on April 19 Chun Ñhang Êi, Responsible member of the Ministry of Unification of the Republic of Korea, who is in charge for the coordination of issues of inter-Korean economic cooperation in the industrial zone  «Kaesong» , and member of the Ministry of Unification of the Republic of Korea Lee Ñhoong Sik attended this meeting.

During the conversation, a number of issues were discussed, such as:

- main directions and features of foreign economic policy of the Russian Federation;

- economic cooperation between Russia and North Korea (difficulties, trends, perspectives);

- assessment of the current state and prospects of Russian-South Korean economic ties;

- assessment of the current state of economic ties between South Korea and North Korea: possible proposals and recommendations on the activation of such contacts (including by the opening of new representative offices).

During the discussion, participants shared their views on the assessment of current state and prospects of Russian-South Korean relations.
