On May 23, 2023 IMEMO hosted a meeting with China Institutes of Contemporary International Relations (CICIR).

The meeting was attended by Zhang Jian, Assistant President, Director of the CICIR Institute of Europe, NI Jianjun, Deputy Director of the CICIR Institute of World Economy, Shang Yue, Deputy Director of the CICIR Institute of Eurasian Studies and Han Yichen, Associate Research Professor of the CICIR Institute of Eurasian Studies.

The Russian side was represented by President of IMEMO, Academician Alexander Dynkin, Acting Director of IMEMO, Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences Feodor Voitolovsky, Acting Deputy Director for Scientific Work, Professor Alexander Lomanov, and Head of the Sector of Economy and Politics of China of IMEMO, Cand. of Science (Economics), Sergey Lukonin.

Within the framework of the scientific discussion, the participants of the meeting discussed modern geopolitical and economic problems, noted the prospects of Russian-Chinese cooperation, and outlined possible ways of cooperation between IMEMO and CICIR.
