Shvydko, Head of Japanese Studies Section, met with a delegation of Japanese experts headed by Mr. Toshiro Iijima, Deputy Director General of the Japan Institute of International Affairs (JIIA). Russian and Japanese scholars discussed the prospects of cooperation between IMEMO and JIIA in the context of recent developments in Russia-Japan political and business relations.
