310The IMEMO Joint Department "System Analysis of International Processes" at MGIMO University of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation will hold a series of lectures on further professional education programs. The lectures will be held online. Upon completion of the course, attendees will be offered a final test to assess their understanding of the lectures’ material, upon completion of which they will receive a certificate of advanced training from MGIMO.
From November 24 to 27, 2025, the lecture series "Modern Energy Transition: Dynamics and Prospects" will be held. Registration is required to participate in the program.
The goal of the lecture course is to provide attendees with a holistic, systematic understanding of the main trends in the development of modern energy markets, the transformation of which has accelerated significantly in recent years, including due to the geo-economic fragmentation of the global economy and exogenous geopolitical shocks. The course includes 12 interactive lectures that will introduce participants to contemporary scientific and practical discourse on the main problems and controversial issues of the energy transition and provide experience in reasoned critical assessments of the development of energy and raw materials markets and forecasting their future transformation.
The lectures will be delivered by employees from the Center for Energy Research of IMEMO – leading Russian scientists specializing in the study of global energy raw materials markets, electricity markets, and greenhouse gas emission permit trading markets. This further professional education program is designed for undergraduates and graduate students of Russian universities and research organizations, as well as anyone interested in current problems of global energy development.

From December 1 to 8, 2025, the lecture series "Breakthrough Technologies: Politics, Economy, and Security" will run. Registration is required to participate in the program.
The goal of the lecture course is to provide participants with a holistic, systematic understanding of development trends in innovation and technology, the economic challenges of breakthrough technologies, and their relationship with the sphere of domestic policy, geopolitics, and security in the emerging world order. The course includes 12 interactive lectures, which will present the main theoretical and practical aspects of the proposed topic, as well as examine specific country and industry cases. Participants will develop competencies for critically analyzing modern technology markets and the technological factor in politics, as well as the ability to analyze trends in innovation and technological development.
The lectures will be delivered by employees of the Department of Science and Innovation and the Center for International Security of IMEMO – leading Russian experts specializing in the study of various aspects of global high-tech markets and innovative development.
The program is designed for undergraduates and graduate students of Russian universities and research organizations, as well as anyone interested in the current problems of innovative and technological development in the modern world.
