The roundtable conference “Foreign policy priorities for the new German government” was held at the Russian Institute of Strategic Studies on January 28, 2022. Research Fellow for the Section for Political Aspects of European Integration of the Department for European Political Studies of the IMEMO, Cand.of Science (Politics) Maria Khorolskaya made a report “Central and Eastern European Countries in German Foreign Policy: The Three Seas Initiative” at the event.

Head of the FRG Department of the Third European Department of the Russian Foreign Ministry S.V. Babkin, Deputy Director for Scientific Work of Institute of Europe of the Russian Academy of Sciences and Head of Center for German studies Vladislav Belov, Honorary Professor of the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia Leo Klepatsky, Researcher of the European Studies Institute of the MGIMO University Artem Sokolov and RISS experts attended the meeting.

The experts discussed the first steps of the new coalition, the future of Russia-Germany relations, the Atlantic and the European vectors for the development of Berlin's foreign policy, and the place of the countries of Central and Eastern Europe in Germany's foreign policy.
