19On December 5, 2022 the Russian Institute for Strategic Studies (RISS) held a Roundtable on "The Results of the Presidential Elections and Prospects for the Development of Internal Political Situation in Kazakhstan”.
Employees of the Center for post-Soviet Studies spoke at the event:
- Elena Kuzmina, Head of Sector of the Center, Cand. of Science (Politics), with the report "Economic Policy of Kazakhstan in the Medium Term”;
- Stanislav Pritchin, Senior Researcher of the Sector for Central Asia, Cand. of Science (History), with the report "Prospects for Kazakhstan's Internal Political Transformation after the Presidential Elections".
The participants of the event discussed the issues of preparation and holding of early presidential elections in Kazakhstan on November 20, 2022, the prospects for the development of the internal political situation in this country and the solution of urgent tasks set by the Head of State to ensure the further movement of the Republic on the path of transformation of its political system, developing of democracy, improving of social and economic policy.
