On July 17, 2025, Alexander Lomanov, Deputy Director for Scientific Work of IMEMO, Professor of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Dr. of Science (History), and Sergey Lukonin, Head of the Sector of Economy and Politics of China of the Center for Asia Pacific Studies of IMEMO, Cand. of Science (Economics), took part in the Roundtable "Cooperation between the Russian Federation and the People's Republic of China as a Key Factor of Stability in World Affairs", held by the Federation Council Committee on Foreign Affairs.

Alexander Lomanov presented a report on the new foreign policy concept of the PRC – "Global Civilization Initiative", Sergey Lukonin made a report on the opportunities and challenges in Russian-Chinese cooperation.
