18On December 12, 2024, the press center of the “Russia Today” International News Agency hosted a Roundtable Discussion “Syrian Crisis: Reasons for Aggravation of the Situation and Possible Consequences”. Experts discussed the reasons for such a rapid regime change in Syria and the trajectories of further development of the situation, as well as the consequences of the events that took place for Russia.
The event was attended by Nikolay Sukhov, Lead Researcher of the Center for the Middle East Studies of IMEMO, Cand. of Science (History).
