On June 26, 2025, Igor Zhukovsky, Senior Researcher of the Baltic Sea Region Integrated Research Group, Cand. of Science (Politics), and Vladimir Olenchenko, Senior Researcher of the Sector of European Countries’ Economy, Cand. of Science (Law), took part in the Roundtable "Results of the NATO Summit: Rising Tensions in the Baltic Sea Region?", held at the press center "Russia Today".

The issues of the feasibility of the idea of turning the Baltic Sea into an "inland lake" of NATO were discussed, scenarios for the development of events in the region were considered and possible response steps of Russia to the increasing militarization of the region were assessed.
