On October 23, 2024, the Center for Global IT-Cooperation held a Êoundtable “AI: Industry Application and Best Practices”. The experts discussed various practical aspects of the use and control of AI technologies: their regulation, current trends, domestic and international experience in the implementation of AI on the example of real cases.

The Roundtable was held in the format of an open discussion, during which the following questions were discussed:

  • 1) What projects with AI technologies are already working and what projects may appear in the near future?
  • 2) What are the prospects for AI as a tool for optimizing business processes and legal decisions?
  • 3) How do other countries use AI?
  • 4) How is the field of AI application regulated now? What government measures to support AI development already exist and what are planned?

Pavel Karasev, Senior Researcher of the Center for International Security, took part in the event with the report “US Technology Policy in the Field of Semiconductors and Artificial Intelligence”. The speaker pointed out that the most difficult problem for the US to overcome is the shortage of personnel. In the context of growing global competition for specialists in the field of semiconductors and artificial intelligence, advanced countries should prioritize the development of all levels of the national education system and relevant competencies.
