
Alexander Dynkin and Feodor Voitolovsky made reports at the roundtable conference “The pandemic of the COVID-19: the strategies, the trends and the scenarios of the foreign policy of the USA”, which was organized online by the Russian International Affairs Council.
President of the RIAC Igor Ivanov and Deputy Foreign Minister, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Sergei Ryabkov began the discussion.
The economic and the international political consequences of the pandemic of the COVID-19 and their impact on the foreign and the domestic policy of the USA were considered at the event. The key areas of the discussion were the scenarios for the development of the USA interaction with allies and partners in Europe, in Asia-Pacific Region and in the Middle East. Particular attention was paid to the impact of the pandemic on the relations between the USA and China. The trends and prospects of Russian-American relations were also carefully examined.
Scientific Leader of the Institute for US and Canadian Studies of the RAS Sergei Rogov, Director of the Institute for US and Canadian Studies of the RAS Valery Garbuzov, Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the European Union, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Vladimir Chizhov, Director of the Institute of Europe of the RAS Alexey Gromyko and other experts made reports at the meeting.
