Conference “Colonized Time and Decolonizing Space"

42

On December 15, 2022 the Group on South Asia and Indian Ocean of the Center for Asia Pacific Studies and the IMEMO Council of Young Scientists will hold a joint conference “Colonized Time and Decolonizing Space"

The conference will analyze the formation of Western discursive dominance and its redefinition. The organizers propose to discuss how, over the past 300 years, European science has created new lines of research that have explained and legitimized colonial practices. How contemporary intellectual elites of various countries are deconstructing colonial thinking. To what extent the criticism of colonialism by non-Western intellectual elites is free from colonial patterns.

Register in advance for the event.

After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the conference.
