On June 27, 2025, Dmitry Stefanovich, Research Fellow of the Center for International Security of IMEMO, took part in the IX International Nevsky Forum "Russia in a Multipolar World: Politics, Economics, Education" in St. Petersburg.
As part of the expert discussion "International Relations and Trends of World Development in the Conditions of Changing Reality", a short report "On Current Trends in the Sphere of International Security" was presented, which emphasized the current crisis phenomena caused by political, military-strategic and technological factors. Following the report, the session participants exchanged views on the prospects for arms control and international legal mechanisms for limitation of certain types of weapons.
