Ivan Danilin took part in Foresight Fleet event of Agency for Strategic Initiatives

On May 12-16th, 2015, Ivan V. Danilin, Head of Section for Innovation Policy (IMEMO), took part in Foresight Fleet event of Agency for Strategic Initiatives (ASI) among 700 leading Russian experts. 2015 Foresight Fleet activities were supported by Russian Venture Company (RVC).

Ivan Danilin joined EnergyNet group (new markets for innovative energy technologies), subgroup for Smart Grids and Microgrids.

This year Foresight Fleet activities were devoted to analysis of  key future innovative markets and elaboration of basic projects for National Technology Initiative (NTI). NTI was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin in his annual Address to the Federal Assembly of Russian Federation on Dec.4, 2014, and assumes start of several projects, aimed at Russia`s technology leadership in key perspective areas in 2035. NTI`s focus is made on regulatory changes, workforce and competence development, public-private partnerships. NTI model, elaborated on the basis of  Foresight Fleet results, would be send to the Russian President for review and support in July, 2014.

On January 13, 2024, “Interfax” news agency published an article about the next IMEMO annual forecast “Russia and the World” for the current year 2025. The main conclusion the scientists come to is that the “factor-2025” will be the increasing uncertainty of the near future in almost all areas of world politics and economy since the beginning of the year.
