29Feodor Voitolovsky gave an interview to the special volume of the periodical issue of the VCIOM called “Sociodigger”. The publication is dedicated to the problems of foresight and prognosis of the future and to the social expectations regarding it.
“I disagree with the ideas on the comprehensive reduction of the horizons of foreseeing and prognosing as the basic factors, which affect the development of society, economy, the system of international relations, the world economy and the process of individual countries, still play a significant role nowadays. Population statistics, development of the productive factors, including infrastructure construction, scientific and technological development, as well as military construction, are crucial. These factors have a long-term development cycle and have a long-term systematic impact on social, economic and political processes. They are pretty predictable in 10, 15 or even 20 years...”
