31Last Wednesday, the Federation Council approved a law to withdraw ratification of the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty (CTBT), according to which member states pledge to stop nuclear weapons testing and any nuclear explosions on the territories under their control. Academician Alexey ARBATOV, Head of the Center for International Security of IMEMO, told Yury PANIEV, Executive editor of the “NG-Dipcourier”, about the possible consequences of this move by Moscow.
