1298The international conference « Typology of conflicts: "New wars" and the situation in the Middle East», prepared together with International Comittee of the Red Cross, was held on 17 June 2013 in the Institute of World Economy and International Relations, Russian Academy of sciences (IMEMO RAN), Moscow. Russian and foreign specialists on the Middle East region, problems of security and humanitarian activities expressed their opinions during the working session. Opening speech was performed by deputy-head of IMEMO RAS Vladimir Baranovsky and head of the ICRC Regional delegation Juan Luis Coderque Galligo.
