February 1, 2022 Viktor Tatuzov, a senior researcher at the Department of Global Economic Problems and Foreign Economic Policy of IMEMO, was a keynote speaker (in a digital form) at the International conference dedicated to N. Kondratieff, famous Russian economist, organized in Paris by Franco-Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. V. Tatuzov presented a report on the topic: “Will the current economic problems associated with the pandemia persist in Russia and Europe until 2030?” (in French). The report dealt with E. Primakov’s (President of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in 2001-2011) ideas of current interest, current macroeconomic trends, pressing issues of foreign direct investment and other issues.

The conference website, in particular, emphasized that according to the information available to the French side, V. Tatuzov was one of those who were the first to signal growing external and internal risks on the eve of the economic crises in Russia in 1998, 2008-2010 and 2014 -2015. E. Quidet, President of the Franco-Russian Chamber of Industry, I. Prostakov, former Trade Representative of Russia in France, E. Medvedeva, a representative of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the Benelux countries and France and others took part in the conference. J. Gliniasty, former Ambassador of France to Russia will be the keynote speaker at the next such conference planned in April 2022.
