International Conference for Young Researchers «Theories and Methods in International Relations»

On the April 21-22, 2022, the Primakov National Research Institute of World Economy and International Relations, Russian Academy of Sciences (IMEMO), Moscow, hosted the international conference of young scientists «Theories and Methods in International Relations».

Conference sessions addressed following issues:

  • Is there an actual scientific theory of International Relations?
  • International Economic Relations: Theory and Methodology;
  • Methods of studying socio-economic development challenges;
  • International Security: Theoretical understanding;
  • International Conflict: Scientific approaches;
  • Ideology and Identity: Promising categories of research;
  • Quantitative and Qualitative methods in Social Sciences;
  • Methods of scientific forecasting and their practical implementation;
  • Non-Western history and Western theories of International Relations;
  • Political Space as a research category.

The results of the conference will be published in the IMEMO’s series «Global Development».

The organizing committee reserves the right to select materials for presentations and to include them in the collection of articles based on the results of the conference.
