Inter-institutional Round table “Presidential elections in France-2017”

March 1, 2017 Round table on the topic: "Presidential elections in France-2017" was held in the Primakov Institute of World Economy and International Relations (IMEMO) of the Russian Academy of Sciences under the chairmanship of the Deputy Director of the Institute A.V. Kuznetsov.

Experts from IMEMO, from Institute of Europe RAS, from Center for Political Technologies (CPT), from Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO), from the Diplomatic Academy of the MFA of Russia, from Institute of Scientific Information on Social Sciences (INION) RAS, from Institute of World History RAS, from Faculty of History of Lomonosov Moscow State University and from Demidov Yaroslavl State University took part in the round table.

The participants of the event have analyzed the main trends of the current electoral campaign, have examined social and economic aspects of the candidates' programs, have discussed the motives of voters' behavior and possible consequences of the future elections in France for French foreign policy, including Russian-French relations.
