The Primakov National Research Institute of World Economy and International Relations (IMEMO) of the Russian Academy of Sciences held an expert meeting with the University of Mumbai and Observer Research Foundation (ORF) in Mumbai on February 26, 2024.

The IMEMO delegation included Director Feodor Voitolovskiy, Head of the Center of the Indo-Pacific Region Alexey Kupriyanov, Head of the Center for Strategic Planning Studies Sergey Kislitsyn, Head of the Sector of Economy and Politics of China of the Center for Asia Pacific Studies Sergey Lukonin, Senior Researcher of the Center for International Security Konstantin Bogdanov and Junior Research Fellow of the Center of the Indo-Pacific Region Gleb Makarevich.

The experts discussed the China factor in Russia-India relations, logistics in the Middle East, South and Central Asia as well as Russia’s role in the Indian Ocean Region.
