The IMEMO and the Astana International Financial Center signed the Memorandum of Understanding on the development of the cooperation between the IMEMO and the AIFC in achieving the common goals for the development of international cooperation, the formation of scientific and expert information and its exchange in the main directions of interaction between the parties, as well as the popularization of scientific and expert knowledge.

Director of the IMEMO Corresponding Member of the RAS Feodor Voitolovsky and Chief Economist - Board Member of the Authority of the Astana International Financial Centre Baurzhan Bektemirov signed the Memorandum of Understanding on the development of the cooperation between the IMEMO and the AIFC in achieving the common goals for the development of international cooperation, the formation of scientific and expert information and its exchange in the main directions of interaction between the parties, as well as the popularization of scientific and expert knowledge.

In the framework of the partnership is expected:

• the scientific and expert cooperation, which will be aimed at promotion of the creation of the attractive investment environment in the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation considering the global processes taking place in the world;
• the creation of the scientific and expert teams and working groups in order to study the problems of the world economy and the formation of the relevant national practices;
• organization and conduction of the joint scientific and expert events, including round tables, conferences and forums;
• the publication of expert opinions, forecasts, articles, monographs, compendiums and other materials on the world economy and international relations.
