On the 13th of October 2017, II All-Russian scientific conference “France after the elections-2017”, organized by National Research University "Higher School of Economics", by IMEMO RAS and by Institute of Europe RAS, took place in the Higher School of Economics, Moscow.

The researchers of IMEMO took part in the conference.

Cand. of Science (Economics), Senior researcher of the Center for European Studies Andrey Kudryavtsev made the report “Economic policy of the president E. Macron: between tactics and strategy” in the plenary session.

Dr. of Science (Economics), Lead Researcher of the Center for European Studies Marina Klinova moderated the economic session and presented the report “Privatization for the sake of innovations”.

Cand. of Science (Economics), Senior researcher of the Department of Science and Innovation Elena Chernoutsan gave the talk “Specifics of E. Macron’s government policy for innovations: priorities and mechanism of implementation”.

Cand. of Science (Politics), Senior Researcher of the Center for Comparative Socio-Economic and Political Studies Arina Preobrazhenskaya made the report “Les Républicains: defeats of 2017 and their political consequences” in the session of domestic policy.

Three researchers of IMEMO participated in the session of foreign policy. Cand. of Science (History), Senior Researcher of the Department for European Political Studies Kira Zueva spoke on the topic: “Atlantic direction of the French foreign policy under president Macron”.

Cand. of Science (Economics), Senior Researcher of the Center for European Studies Olga Trofimova gave the talk: “The impact of migration processes on the French position in the European integration project”.

Cand.of Science (Politics), Research Fellow of the Department for European Political Studies Pavel Timofeev made the report: “Russia in the defense agenda of the French president E.Macron: a partner or an opponent?”.
