10The geopolitical session “Armenia and Russia: the imperative of the new strategy”, dedicated to the 30 years anniversary of the state independence of the Republic of Armenia was held in the House of Culture of the Russian-Armenian University.
The event was organized jointly with the IMEMO and the MGIMO University.
On the meeting there was held a presentation of the compendium of the international scientific and expert forum “Primakov Readings in Yerevan 2019. Armenia in the global context”.
The following reports were presented at the meeting:
- “The new configuration of powers in the South Caucasus: the risks and the prospects for cooperation between Russia and Armenia” by Director of the IMEMO, Corresponding Member of the RAS Feodor Voitolovsky;
- “The integrational mechanisms of response to the challenges of the coronacrisis” by Deputy Director of the IMEMO, Corresponding Member of the RAS Sergey Afontsev;
- “The development of the cooperation between Russia and Armenia in the light of the consequences of the 44-day war in Karabakh: the challenges and the prospects” by Head of the Center for post-Soviet Studies of the IMEMO Eduard Solovyev.
