Global Economic Development Forum in Beijing

Deputy Director of the IMEMO Professor of the RAS Alexander Lomanov made an online report “The stability and the prerequisites for the recovery of the global economy” at the Global Economic Development Forum, held in Beijing on March 8, 2022.

The key topic of the Forum was “How to close the development gap and to revive the global development”. The discussion focused on the current issues of the restoration of the global economy, affected by the impact of the coronavirus pandemic, of the improvement of the global governance, of the international coordination of development policies, and of the narrowing of the gap in the levels of development of different countries.

The event was dedicated to the important annual event in the Chinese political calendar – the work of the sessions of the National People's Congress and of the National Committee of the People's Political Consultative Council of China, held on March 4-11, 2022.

The Administration for Publication and Distribution of Literature in Foreign Languages of the PRC, the China Institute for Innovation & Development Strategy and the French Foundation for the Future and Innovation organized the Forum.
