1533The first scientific seminar “The Persian Gulf: the peculiarities of the economic and political development” dedicated to the commemoration of the famous Russian orientalist and expert in Arab studies Georgiy Mirskiy was held by the Middle East Research Center in the conference-hall of the IMEMO.
The situation in the Gulf States (the Arab countries and Iran) and the international relations in the subregion in the light of policy of the other political players of the Middle East (Israel, Turkey) and the external forces of the USA, Russia and the EU were discussed at the meeting.
